The City of LaFayette’s comprehensive plan process is a collaborative, community-driven effort designed to chart a clear and inspiring vision for the city’s future. This process, known as the Comprehensive Plan, serves as a long-term “road map” that guides growth, development, and policy decisions for the next 20 years, ensuring LaFayette remains a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable place to live, work, and visit.

Community Engagement at the Core

A cornerstone of LaFayette’s comprehensive  plan process is robust community engagement. The city recognizes that every resident and stakeholder has valuable insights and ideas to contribute. Through a diverse array of outreach methods-public meetings, surveys, online tools, and advisory committees-LaFayette has ensured broad participation, making it convenient for community members to share their perspectives and help shape the plan at every stage.
